CADZAND VILLAGE
Cadzand-Dorp, a coastal town in the far west of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The characteristic village is located on the Belgian border and is a fashionable seaside resort, which is part of the municipality of Sluis. The village has a rich history and a natural environment. Cadzand used to be called Cadesand (quay-sand) and is one of the oldest settlements in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Traditionally, the village was located on an island surrounded by a dike, near the nature reserve Het Zwin. Large parts of the island have disappeared back into the sea due to heavy storm surges.
To this day, history is visible in the vast polder landscape of West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The salt marshes and mudflats, quays and dikes are traces of the centuries-old battle against the sea and people themselves.
When you enter Cadzand-Dorp you will immediately see the striking mill 'NooitGedacht'. This corn mill dates from 1898 and is regularly open for visitors. Cadzand has approximately 750 inhabitants and is a still recognizable medieval ring village. In the middle of the village is the beautiful Mariakerk surrounded by picturesque streets. This makes Cadzand-Dorp an authentic and charming village.

CADZAND BATH
At the Mariakerk is the monument of the World Peace Flame that symbolizes the desire of every person to find peace in his life. The area between Bruges, Ghent and the island of Cadzand was suffering from war violence for centuries.
Cadzand-Dorp offers a pleasant combination of amenities. Within walking distance of the development you will find the local artisan bakery and a modern French restaurant. Both located on the Mariastraat. Further on in the village there is an authentic Italian restaurant. An environment full of special and tasteful atmosphere with exuberant coziness.
The adjacent Cadzand-Bad borders directly on the sea and has kilometers of beach and dunes for walking, cycling, surfing, kiting and especially offers the opportunity to enjoy the sun. But also those who love good food will get their money's worth here, the region around Cadzand has the highest density of Michelin stars worldwide.
An area with peace and space. Together with Domburg, Cadzand-bad is the only one in the Netherlands to have the title 'Heilzame Zeebadplaats' (Healthy Seaside Resort), which stands for the quality of the beaches and the seawater.
